Samantha Allen with Sarah Neilson
From our friends at the energetic new publishing enterprise that Zando Works is, comes Samantha Allen with a debut novel that says ‘here’ in so many ways, Patricia Wants to Cuddle. Four women, ostensibly on one of the islands we are amidst, have come to be part of one of those roughing it reality shows, wherein the prize (here) is a fellow. That’s not how things go, as love amongst the four, and another woman takes center stage. Along with other things.
“Who knew a queer Sasquatchian horror comedy could pack so much emotion! As fun as it is weird, which is just plain delightful. ” - Michael Kennedy.
"This is the lesbian Sasquatch novel you’ve always wanted . . . this is the most badass book imaginable. . . . The publisher describes it as 'viciously funny' but I thought it was also kinda sweet. I’d give Patricia a cuddle.” - Molly Odintz, Crimereads.
“Samantha Allen’s Patricia Wants to Cuddle is just as wonderful as it is weird. It’s a queer romp with a bombshell of an ending, horrifying and delightful, a real page-turner. It’s truly a book that made me laugh out loud. I loved every minute of it.” - Kristin Arnett.
Samantha Allen is also the author of Real Queer America: LGBT Stories from Red States.
Samantha Allen appears in conversation with Sarah Neilson. Sarah Neilson is a freelance culture writer, interviewer, and creative based in Seattle. They are the interviews editor at The Seventh Wave. They write about and report on all kinds of queer art, local literary culture, the ways in which creative people work and live, and sometimes even agriculture (which was their first career).
Registration for this event is optional.
