Saturday University with Emma Flatt

This morning the Saturday University morning’s winter series on ‘What is Precious?’ commences with Emma Flatt, professor of history at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and author of the recent book, The Courts of the Deccan Sultanates: Living Well in the Persian Cosmopolis (Cambridge), will speak on ‘Rarities Fit For Kings: Ephemeral and Tangible Precious Goods in Sultanate India.’

Presented by the GARDNER CENTER FOR ASIAN ART AND IDEAS, in partnership with the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON JACKSON SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, the DUNHUANG FOUNDATION, and ELLIOTT BAY BOOK COMPANY.
