Saturday University ROOTS OF CULTURE: ESSENTIAL PLANTS OF ASIA Winter Lecture Series.

This morning the Saturday University morning winter series on plants and culture in Asia continues with Tariq Omar Ali, Assistant Professor of History at the University of Illinois, and author of the recent book, A Local History of Global Capital (Princeton University Press). His lecture subject is to be “Jute and Peasant Life in the Bengal Delta.”

Presented by the GARDNER CENTER FOR ASIAN ART AND IDEAS, in partnership with the UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON JACKSON SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDIES, SEATTLE UNIVERSITY and ELLIOTT BAY BOOK COMPANY.
