Journalist Scott Miller’s new book, Agent 110: An American Spymaster and the German Resistance in WWII (Simon and Schuster), uncovers the story of Office of Strategic Services spymaster Allen Dulles, who worked with members of the  German Underground trying to assassinate Hitler and shorten World War II. Though these negotiations proved unsuccessful, Dulles went on to serve as head of the CIA and orchestrated coups in places like Iran, Guatemala, and Cuba. Scott Miller, a former Wall Street Journal correspondent, is also the author of, The President and the Assassin: McKinley, Terror, and Empire at the Dawn of the American Century.
